RRB ALP Selection Process 2018 – Hello guys we hope you all are pretty excited about RRB ALP recruitment which is having immense vacancy of 26502 in one go and we know that many of the aspirants are waiting since last 2 year for RRB ALP vacancy and you got this golden opportunity so it is the right time that you should prepare well and score good marks for the final selection.
In this article we are going to discuss the selection process and where we will talk about what all round you need to clear to make it to final list and how much you need to score. And also we will discuss all the important details which you should know for the better preparation.
RRB ALP Selection Procedure 2018
As you know Railway Recruitment Board conduct various exam (RRB NTPC, RRB ALP and technician) nd it is a centralised body which recruit all the posts for Railway, which is one of the largest employer in the world. Indian Railway has finally released the official notification for ALP which stands for assistant loco pilot and technician recruitment and as earlier mentioned, total vacancy will be 26502 in 2018.
let’s look at the selection procedure and have a brief Idea on how to start your preparation
Lets start with the selection process and in between, we will discuss the exam pattern for stage 1, stage 2 CBT exam.
RRB ALP selection will comprises of 4 stage,
- Stage 1 CBT
- Stage 2 CBT
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (which is stage 3 and it is for only ALP post)
- Document verification

First Stage CBT Exam Pattern

This stage will have maths, General Intelligence and reasoning, general science and general awareness on current affairs which will have total 75 questions and you need to attend them in 60 minutes.
Stage 2 CBT Pattern
In stage 2, it is having two parts, part A and part B, In PART A you will have maths, General Intelligence reasoning, basic science and engineering and general awareness but part 2 will have relevant trade questions.

There are few important points you should note,
- There shall be negative marking for incorrect answer in both the papers.
- If you attempt question negative then the there will be one third of the deduction for each wrong answer
- Please make sure that if you are applying for ALP post then after clearing stage 2, you need to appear for Computer Based aptitude test which is additional for ALP post only and in this test there will be no negative marking for Computer Based aptitude test.
Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) – only for ALP
This test is only for ALP. So let’s discuss what is CBAT (Computer Based aptitude test). It is only for candidate who have applied for ALP and candidate needs to secure a minimum of 42 marks to qualify in this test.
This is applicable for all the candidates across categories, and hence, no reservation is applied to this test. If you qualify this test then you need to go to document verification.
Let’s discuss the document verification, if you qualify the round 2 (in case of technician) and if you qualify Computer Based aptitude test (in case of ALP) then you need to go through the verification, where you need to verify your all the documents which were mentioned in the notification.
