RBI Officer Grade B Selection Process 2018

Reserve Bank of India Grade B selection process 2018 will be repose of three stages, a Phase I (online examination), Phase II (online examination) and phase III (Interview).

Candidates should have to secure minimum marks for each of the three stages and should be having a good percentage in each section to get shortlisted. Candidates will have to score well in Phase I of the online examination to be eligible for Phase II of the examination. The final selection of the candidates will be for those who get selected as part of the merit list by adding the marks obtained in Phase I, Phase II online examination and the interview.

The recruitment process of RBI Grade B Officer involves in three steps:

  1. Phase-I (Objective type written Exam)
  2. Phase-II (Descriptive Type Written Exam)
  3. Personal Interview

Phase-I (Objective type written Exam) 2018

The phase-I will be objective type and online exam

  • The Phase I of objective type question is of 200 marks.
  • The Time duration is 2 hours.
  • Paper-I will consist of General Awareness, English language, Quantitative aptitude and reasoning
  • Candidates must secure minimum marks individually in each of the tests along with minimum average score.
  • Minimum marks is decided by RBI.
  • Candidates who secure minimum marks will be shortlisted for Phase-II .

RBI Phase-II (Descriptive Type Written Exam)

This exam is of Descriptive type written exam

  • The Phase-II is of 300 marks.
  • It consist of three papers.

Paper-I will be of online English exam (writing skills).

Paper-II will be of Economic and Social issues.

Paper-III will be of Optional paper (Finance  and Management /Economics/Statistics).

  • Each paper will be of 100 marks.
  • The duration of each paper is 90 minutes.
  • Candidates must secure minimum marks individually in each of the tests along with minimum average score.
  • Minimum marks is decided by RBI.
  • Candidates who secure minimum marks will be shortlisted for Phase-III.

RBI Officer Personal Interview Round

  • Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on the aggregate score obtained in Phase I and Phase II of the examination.
  • The minimum aggregate cut off marks for being shortlisted will be decided by the Board based on the number of vacancies.
  • The Interview is out of 50 marks.
  • Candidates can opt for the interview either in English or Hindi. Final selection will be based on adding the marks secured by candidates in Phase I and Phase-II of the examination and interview.
