The Selection Procedure of IBPS PO is divided into 3 parts, Where two written papers and 1 Interview round. The Marks scored in Preliminary examination is only qualifying in nature and will not be counted towards the final total. Only those who qualify through Phase II (Mains Exam) will be eligible to attend Phase III processes.

  2. Fill the Online Application Form very carefully.
  3. Print the application form for further reference.
  4. Now Download IBPS PO Admit Card for Prelims exam.

Preliminary Exam

First of all the candidates who have filled IBPS PO Application Form and having the admit card needs to appear for CWE Exam (prelims).

Marks score in IBPS PO Preliminary Exam will not be count in the final merit list. So this round is only for passing exam to get eligible for next round.

PO CWE (Common Written Exam) – IBPS Common Written Exam is an Objective type question paper which will be conducted Online.


All the candidates appearing for Mains Exam (CWE Exam) needs to secure minimum qualiying marks to get eligible for Interview Round. CWE exam will have five section and 200 Objective Questions carrying 1 mark of each and the time duration is 02 hours.

Common Interview (IBPS PO)

Interview round is final round before the merit list will be declared. All the candidates securing minimum passing marks in Interview round needs to wait for final merit list.

IBPS PO Interview Exam to be taken by the Participating Organizations and composed by the Nodal Bank in each one State/ UT with the assistance of IBPS. You will be assigned selected centers where interview exam will be conducted. You will get information about your interview center.

Minimum Qualifying Marks for Interview is 40% for General Candidates while OBC/SC/ST/PWD/PH candidates need to score minimum 35% marks.

Ratio of Mains CWE Exam and Interview is 80:20. So 80% weightage will be IBPS PO CWE and 20% for interview round.

  • DOB Proof
  • Photo Identity Proof (Aadhar/DL/Ratio)
  • Graduation Mark sheet
  • Caste Certificate (If Applicable)

  • NOC (If applicable) from department those candidates are perusing in any Government Jobs / Public Sector Undertaking etc.

Merit List

Now finally a merit list will be declared for all the candidates who appeared till Interview stage. If your name is there in Merit List then you need to go through to joining Formalities.

The ratio of marks between mains exam and Interview round is 80:20 ration. It means weight-age of written exam is 80% while interview round will be having 20% contribution in final merit list.
