IBPS conducts clerical exam every year for the recruitment of Clerk to fill the vacancies of public sector banks. Prelims Exam Pattern 2017(प्रारंभिक परीक्षा पैटर्न): IBPS Clerk
Each year IBPS Clerk conduct clerical exam for recruiting best suited clerks for the public sector banks. One who clears prelims examination will be allowed to sit for the clerk Mains exam. Let us now see the examination pattern for the Preliminary Examination.

In prelims exam for IBPS Clerk, questions from 3 sections are asked. These 3 sections are basically, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, English Ability.
Total number of question asked from Reasoning Ability section are 35 which carry 35 marks. Total number of question asked from Numerical Ability section are 35 which carry 35 marks.
Finally, Total number of question asked from English Language section are 30 which carry 30 marks. Thus the overall Prelims exam carry a total of 100 marks.
Total Time: 1 Hour
NOTE:- Duration of the IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam is 1 hour. So, candidates should be fast enough to answer most number of question in the given set of time.
Clerk Mains Exam Pattern 2017(मुख्य परीक्षा पैटर्न)
Once the candidate clears the Prelims examination(प्रारंभिक परीक्षा), he/she will be allowed to sit for the IBPS Clerk Mains Examination(मुख्य परीक्षा).

In this examination phase, questions from 5 section intotal are asked. These 5 section are Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge. Reasoning section consists of 40 questions and is set for a total of 50 Marks. Duration for this section is 30 minutes.
English Language section consists of 40 questions and is set for a total of 40 marks. Duration for this section is 30 minutes too. Now, Quant section consists of 40 questions and is set for a total of 50 marks. Here also the duration is 30 minutes.
Next is General Awareness, total number of questions asked are 40 and maximum marks are 40. Duration is 25 minutes for this section. The last one is Computer knowledge and it consists of 40 question and maximum marks are 20. Duration for this section is 20 minutes.
