About SSC CGL:

CGL (Combined Graduate Level) exam is one the test conducted by Staff Selection Board to recruit the candidates for many posts like Assistant Audit Officer, Statistical Investigator, Intelligence Bureau Assistant, Inspector of Income Tax etc are few to name.

Keeping in view the schedule of CGLE 2017 available on the website of the Commission and the above DoPT’s instructions, the crucial date for reckoning of age calculation for CGLE 2017 would be 01.08.2017 and no change in this date would be made.

Important Updates on Education Qualification for SSC CGL 2017 Eligibility Criteria:
- Please Note that Candidates must be obtained Degree from Open University or from Distance Learning studied with recognized university under UGC.
- The candidates must be obtained degree as on 01-01-2017.
- Applicant must note that degree obtained after this date will be not valid for SSC CGL 2017.
Below is the nationality allowed in CGL 2017.
- Candidate must be Citizen of India.
- Other country citizen who came to India with an intention to permanently settle in India are allowed (Allowed countries are Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African Countries of Kenya, Zaire, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia and Vietnam)
SSC CGL 2017 Grade Pay:
SSC CGL Grade pay is basically classified in two Pay Band (Pay Band 1 & Pay Band 2) and according Pay Band Pay Grade it is being assigned. CGL Classification consist of Grade “B”, Grade “C” and Grade “B”-Gazetted Non Ministerial hence the Grade Pay is divided in three parts ranging from 2800 to 4800.
