Simple Future Tense practice with example: Simple Future Tense also known as The Future Indefinite tense is expresses an action that is about to take place in future. Words for an example, soon, shortly, in a few moments, tomorrow, presently, next month, next year, next day, next week etc shows the future actions.This tense is also used to say the probably things which may or may not occur. For an example , We will meet tomorrow, it means it is not sure whether they will meet tomorrow or not, which indicated the uncertainty in the action.

Lets learn the Simple Future Tense practice with example and learn the difference between other tense and past indefinite tense.

Uses of Future Simple Tense:

This tense expresses an action that is about to take place in future.

  • I will play cricket.
  • I will meet my teacher.

All the words, for examples, ‘Soon, Tomorrow, Shortly, in s few moments, next day, next year, next month, next week‘ indicates the future action.

  • I will play cricket tomorrow.
  • We will meet our teacher next week.

There are few actions that can be presented in future either of tense from indefinite tense, present continuous tense or simple present tense. The only deference, how sure the action is and what is the state of expression.

  • I will meet my friend tomorrow. OR, I am meeting my friend tomorrow.

Formula for Past Simple Tense:

Present Perfect + Point of Time = Simple Past

A sentence can be formed in total three ways, Positive, Negative and interrogative sentence. Second form of verb is used in positive sentences and first form of verb is used in all interrogative and negative sentence.

Positive sentence:

Subject will + verb 1st form + ing / Will + verb 1st form Object

E.g.: Shiv will go to school.

More Examples:

  1. Meena will dance in the balcony.
  2. I will go to temple.
  3. Ram will play cricket tomorrow.

Negative sentence:

Subject Will not + Verb 1st form / Will not + Verb 1st form +ing Object

E.g.: Shiv will not go to school.

More Example:

  1. Meena will not dance in the balcony.
  2. I will not go to temple.
  3. Ram will not play cricket tomorrow.

Interrogative sentence:

Will Subject Verb 1st form / Verb 1st form +ing Object


More Examples:
E.g.: Will shiv go to school ?

  1. Will Meena dance in the balcony ?
  2. Will you come to school tomorrow ?
